"History began when humans invented gods, and will end when humans become gods." I didn't borrow this quote from a dystopian novel about the future or from an end-times movie. Clay Clark, founder of the ReAwaken America Tour, used this quote because it's the main headline on Yuval Noah Harari's website.
According to Clark, Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab, Google and The New York Times have something in common. They all have expressed deep admiration for Harari, a Jewish intellectual. "You can't find a negative thing about him in Google search results," Clark says. "You know why? Because he is a consultant for Google."
Along with receiving praise from famous people and Big Tech corporations, Harari has a long ledger of shocking quotes attributed to him. Clark showed me a few,
"We need to realize that humans are now hackable animals," says Harari in one video. In another video, Harari states, "Humans are developing bigger powers than ever before. We are really acquiring divine powers of creation and destruction. We are really upgrading humans into gods."
The last video Clark showed me was the most chilling. "Also, we see a change in the nature of surveillance. Previously, surveillance was mainly above the skin," Harari says. "Now it's going under the skin. Governments want to know, not just where we go or who we meet. Above all, they want to know what is happening under our skin."
Based on over 40 hours of watching Harari's videos, Clark believes Harari has influenced all the fraud we've seen in the past two years, including election fraud, medical fraud, media fraud, currency fraud and cancel culture. "What's his deal? Does he hate people?" Clark asks. "Yes, he does hate people."
I looked up Harari's talk at Google. When asked about religion's role in society, he said, "So far in history, in order to organize humans on a large scale, you always had to have some story, some fiction which humans invented, but which enough humans believed in order to agree on how to behave." In other words, Harari believes the Bible and the Resurrection of Jesus are just a shared fiction used to help us behave better.
I believe Clark is a "watchman on the wall" like me, one who wants to alert the Christian community (and other patriots) of dangers from those who are anti-God and proposing schemes that are dangerous to mankind such as government surveillance, especially some of the talk about inserting devices under the skin. I know there are those differ with Clark, believing Harari is just observing that governments want this kind of surveillance. In some of his writing and video interviews, Harari even seems to be warning people about that possibility.
You can listen to Clay Clark telling me about these things on this episode of my Strang Report podcast. I sometimes tease Clark (whom I consider a friend) that he is a "force of nature" because of his rapid-fire speech. He rattles off things so fast, sometimes it's hard to determine if there are subtleties he's overlooking. Another key point to remember about Clark is that he encourages people to do their own research. He sent out a press release you can read here with lists of sites to visit for additional information. Here's a sample of its contents:
— Epstein + Biden + Harari = "Pre-Crime Prevention."
The Biden administration asked Congress for $6.5 billion to fund a new biomedical research agency which would merge "national security" with "health security" in such a way as to use both physical and mental health "warning signs" to prevent outbreaks of disease or violence before they occur.
Such a system is a recipe for a technocratic "pre-crime" organization with the potential to criminalize both mental and physical illness as well as "wrongthink. This agency was to be largely guided by Biden's confirmed top science adviser, ERIC LANDER. LANDER formerly the head of the Silicon Valley-dominated Broad Institute, has been controversial for his ties to eugenicist and child sex trafficker JEFFREY EPSTEIN. "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." - 2 Thessalonians 2:4
"And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them." - Genesis Chapter 6:1-7
I've watched some of Harari's videos, and it seems to me that he is deceived about many things, even though I'm no expert on what he believes. I agree with Clark on the evils of the Great Reset and the danger of globalism, but I may not agree with every point he makes. My podcast is a platform to talk to interesting guests and topics of interest.
Whether or not Clark is right about Harari's dark influence on powerful people remains to be seen. Here's what I do know: As a Christian, I have to judge every new quote, every new philosophy and every new teaching in the light of Scripture as a whole.
With Scripture as my standard, I know that humans are not just hackable animals. We're made in the image of God. I know there's only one God, and He's not me. And I know the Bible and the Resurrection of Jesus are not just shared fictions to help me behave better. Both are powerful realities in my life every single day.
