Josh McDowell is stepping down from ministry.

The Evidence that Demands a Verdict author and speaker tweeted out his statement Wednesday afternoon.

His statement in its entirety, read as follows:

"At a recent conference, I made comments about race, the black family, and minorities that were wrong and hurt many people. It breaks my heart to know what deep pain I have caused. It has become clear to me, along with Cru Leadership, that I need to step back from my ministry and speaking engagements to enter a season of listening and addressing the growth areas that I have become aware of through this.

"During this season, Josh McDowell Ministry will continue in its mission with CEO Duane Zook leading all daily efforts."

Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington told a men's conference in Orlando, FL over the weekend what God has been telling him to do and it doesn't have anything to do with the entertainment industry.

The Christian Post (CP) reports Washington was a featured speaker at "The Better Man Event" hosted by First Baptist Orlando. During a discussion with Pastor A.R. Bernard, the senior pastor of the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, New York, Washington revealed a message he says he's hearing from God.

"At 66, getting ready to be 67, having just buried my mother, I made a promise to her and to God, not just to do good the right way, but to honor my mother and my father by the way I live my life, the rest of my days on this Earth. I'm here to serve, to help, to provide," the actor and New York native said.

The supply chain crisis that our supermarkets are facing is far worse than the mainstream media has been telling us. The mainstream media keeps trying to put a happy face on the "temporary" shortages, but an industry insider has let me know what is really going on behind the scenes.

This particular insider runs a grocery store in Maine, and he says that things are as bad as he has ever seen. In fact, he says that he has "never seen anything close to what is happening now." The email that he sent me the other day greatly alarmed me, and I asked him if I could share it with all of you. He gave me permission to do so, as long as I didn't use his name. I haven't received an email this startling in a long time. As you read this email, I think that you will quickly understand why I am saying that ...

This is a direct quote from the late Kenneth E. Hagin. It is tremendous and I love it! I've been feeding on it of late. It is impacting my inner man. It is being injected into my "spiritual bloodstream." This is the lifeline of the church in this hour.

"The consecration of believers was much deeper 50 years ago than it is now. Believers' appreciation and reverence for the things of God and the move of the Holy Spirit were much deeper, too. And as a result, God honored that depth of consecration and reverence by giving his people great manifestations of the Holy Spirit.

"Believers today need greater consecration and dedication to God. In the churches I pastored in the 1940s, we used to gather around the altar and pray at the end of nearly every service. We often sang the old hymn, 'is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid?' We don't sing hymns like that much anymore, but folks today need to heed the message of some of those old scriptural hymns."

Jesse Duplantis made a stunning statement recently during a TV fundraiser for Victory TV. He declared that believers, "can speed up the time" of Christ's return through their financial donations to the ministry.

According to their website, "Jesse Duplantis Ministries has one mission: to share God's message of salvation through Jesus Christ with the world. We want everyone to have an opportunity to know the real Jesus. Approachable, personable, compassionate and full of joy: that's the real Jesus that Jesse knows and loves. And it's his mission in life to make sure everyone on every continent has an opportunity to know Jesus too."

Duplantis has been known as a powerful Word of Faith preacher for nearly 50 years. His sermons largely revolve around standing on the Word of God and believing for miraculous results.
