U.S. Olympians Simone Biles, McKayla Maroney, Maggie Nichols and Aly Raisman testified Wednesday (warning: video link contains graphic testimony) before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on the FBI's investigation of convicted sexual felon and former USA Gymnastics team physician Dr. Larry Nassar. The group placed blame squarely at the feet of Nassar and "an entire system that enabled and perpetrated his abuse," Biles said as she choked back tears.
Biles, 24, remains the world's most accomplished gymnast despite her withdrawal from the 2020 Games.
"It feels like questions of responsibility and organizational failures remain unanswered," Biles said in her opening statement. "As you pursue the answers to those questions, I ask that your work be guided by the same question that Rachel Denhollander [the first victim to publicly accuse Nassar of his abuse who also gave a strong Christian testimony during his trial, now an attorney who has represented other survivors in court] and many others have asked: How much is a little girl worth?

Are we in danger of stumbling into a major military conflict?
This week, a couple of startling revelations have really shaken up those that closely watch U.S. relations with China. The relationship between our two nations continues to deteriorate, and we are now closer to a war with China than we have ever been since the end of the Korean War. This is something that I have been warning about for a long time, and I am extremely alarmed by what has just been revealed. But for most Americans, a war with China is so improbable that it isn't even worth thinking about. In fact, if you put together a list of all the issues that the American people are concerned about, war with China would probably not even make the top 1000. Here in the United States, it is pretty much a non-issue, because the vast majority of the population does not think that such a war will ever happen in their entire lifetimes.
But over in China they see things very differently. In fact, state-controlled media outlets openly talk about an invasion of Taiwan and a future military conflict with the United States.
In an anticlimactic display, one Sept. 15 headline reads, "Newsom Wins California Recall Election; Elder Concedes Defeat." Despite much intercession and solid recall efforts, it appears Gov. Gavin Newsom will remain the dictator of California.
After what we witnessed on Nov. 3, 2020, can Americans still trust the democratic election process?
"About 63.9 percent of people were counted as voting 'no' in the election, according to the California Secretary of State's Office, while 36.1 percent voted 'yes,' with all precincts partially reporting," the Epoch Times reports.
