Earlier this month, Stephen E. Strang, a best-selling author who recently released his newest book, Trump Aftershock, debuted a new podcast that tells the stories that can't be covered by a magazine article, newsletter or even a brief interview.
"In Depth with Stephen Strang" is available weekly on the Charisma Podcast Network as well as other podcast channels. Strang, who continues to offer his original podcast, "Strang Report," has reported on the charismatic movement and life in the Spirit for almost 45 years.
For the new "In Depth" podcast, Strang has spoken with Mike Bickle, founder of the International House of Prayer, a Spirit-empowered, 24-hour prayer movement across the globe; Gene Bailey of Kenneth Copeland Ministries, who discusses why is it so easy to forget what God has done; and Pat Robertson, who tells his story from the days before he founded The Christian Broadcasting Network. Future podcasts will include interviews with Jim Bakker and Gordon Robertson.
"As a Christian journalist, I've been covering what's happening spiritually in our country since the mid-1970s, first as a magazine editor and publisher," Strang said. "In my career, I've had the opportunity to interview four presidents of the United States, and with all my interviews, I try to get to the bottom of the story and pull out answers that will give my readers and my listeners insight into these people. I try to dig down and talk about things that are important, such as their families, their successes and their failures.
"Even though these media are well-known and have their own media platforms, they don't often have an opportunity to talk about this side of their lives," Strang added. "So for this podcast, I want to go 'in depth,' not only into their personal life but also the spiritual aspect to see what we can learn from them."
The new podcast has already received many positive reviews:
- "Followed Stephen Strang's work for years and excited to hear more interviews on this podcast."
- "I love that Stephen Strang interviews a wide variety of people, providing a unique message every time you listen to the show. Make sure you listen to his first one with Damon Davis! Wow, what a powerful healing testimony!"
In the podcast featuring Davis, Strang says that most who meet the former basketball star would probably see him as the picture of good health. And yet Davis, a global leader and media guru, told Strang he died 12 times before he was 25 years old. Davis went on a 10-year journey to find the physical and spiritual answers to his health problems, which he details in his new book, God Cures: 21 Days to Look Good, Live Great and Love Well.
