Mario Murillo Says Post-Election Church Must 'Find Its Moral Spine,' 'Get to the Bottom of Corruption'
Evangelist and author Mario Murillo isn't a politician, nor does he pretend to be one. He has spent much of his life traveling the globe to share the gospel of Christ. But back in 2012, the Lord told him to begin a blog about political issues, and he obeyed.
That blog at mariomurilloministries.wordpress.com has now had more than 12.5 million readers, and God continues to use Murillo to speak unvarnished truth to today's believers. More than ever in this post-election season, Murillo says, the church must expose the corruption and allow God to take us beyond what he calls a "Red Sea moment" and into the promised land of last-days intimacy with Him.
"I'm telling people right now that the church is divided against itself," Murillo says. "And one of the reasons that I believe the church was in worse shape before the pandemic than they are now is because we had no idea how wimpy and divided and disconnected from reality the church was. Many, many leaders wanted a big church; they were willing to make some costly mistakes in order to change from reforming a culture to having a large empire."
Lin Wood Invites Holy Spirit to Press Event: 'This Is 1776 in America Again'
In a historic event in Atlanta, Georgia, almost entirely ignored by mainstream media, patriotic legal duo Lin Wood and Sidney Powell held a press conference Wednesday. Its purpose? To send a message to corrupt politicians, self-serving bureaucrats, communist China and the authoritarian-like, subversive forces trying to control and penalize average Americans. "It's 1776 in America again," Wood declared, "and you're not going to take our freedom."
With an air reminiscent of the American Revolution when born-again Christians led the charge to break away from the tyranny of the British government, Wood kicked off the press event at a park in Georgia with a bold prayer that was an open and explicit invitation for the Holy Spirit to have His way in the room of supporters chanting, "USA. USA. USA."
"Almighty God, Father in heaven, Jesus Christ, our Savior, hallowed be Thy name," Wood prayed, invoking the Lord's prayer. Then he added, "Almighty God, You created this country. ... We pray that You protect America. We pray that You protect our freedom. Save our country. Save our president. Forgive us of our shortcomings, and forgive us of our sins. Holy Spirit, fill this room."
Rodney Howard-Browne Insists, 'This Is Greater Than Trump; It's About America'
Back in late 2019, when I wrote God, Trump and the 2020 Election, I included a chapter called "Why Trump Might Lose." My research revealed that the No. 1 reason such an unexpected loss might take place was fraud. We are now seeing that play out in the headlines every day since Nov. 5.
Because of the massive election fraud that has been verified in numerous states as well as a news tip I received, I invited Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne of The River Church in Tampa, Florida, to a recent episode of the Strang Report podcast to discuss this tumultuous election and its impact on the future of our country. Howard-Browne is not only the first pastor to be arrested in our nation for the crime of holding a worship service, but he is also a student of politics and a passionate defender of truth. And he says unequivocally that the fraud surrounding this election must be uncovered and stopped before it's too late.
"This is greater than Trump," says Howard-Browne, who grew up in South Africa and thus appreciates the value of freedom more than many people. "This is about America. It really is. What people don't understand [is that] they think because we are behind Trump that we just ignore everything. And I said to somebody, 'You don't understand. After Trump, there's somebody else. After that, there's somebody else—just in the next 10 years.'"
